Site Modifications and Works Guidelines
Due to the nature of our site, site modifications must be tracked and communicated in a very specific way. before starting any work on the site, please check to make sure you have followed through with the procedures.
Site Modifications
- All site modifications must be authorised BEFORE work begins.
- For a site modification to be authorised, it must:
- Must be approved by the operations team.
- Must be approved by board and landlord (if applicable).
- Must have a documented plan of works to be checked by operations team.
- Emergency repairs are exempt from this policy when they are reasonably necessary to meet security and safety on site (eg: a broken external door, faulty exit signs, etc).
- Small repairs such as fixing holes in walls, broken fixtures, etc, are permitted as long as the community has been notified via communication channels.
Electrical Work
“Electrical work” is any work related to any voltage higher than ELV as defined by AS/NZS 60950.1:2003 as “a voltage not exceeding 42.4 V peak or 60 V d.c.”.
- Performing work related to permanent electrical infrastructure, such as moving, adding, removing or adjusting any of the following is prohibited:
- Lighting fixtures or switches
- Electrical sockets (GPOs)
- Any other mains related equipment that is permanently fixed.
All licenced work must be carried out by someone who has been approved by, or appointed by the Operations Team
